Creating Beautiful and Livable Spaces

Downtown St. Pete Condo Design: A Residence Designed for City Living

Condo living in downtown St. Pete has such a special feel. You have the city views, the water views, the restaurants, the walkability, the energy, and the ease of being right in the middle of it all.

For this condo project, the goal was to create a home that felt elevated, comfortable, and easy to live in. We wanted the space to feel warm and finished, not stark or overly modern. Since condo living usually means working with a smaller footprint, every detail had to be thoughtful, functional, and beautiful.

From custom wall molding and cozy bedroom layers to a loungey outdoor space and a custom murphy bed in the office, we designed this condo to live larger than its square footage.

Adding Warmth With Custom Woodwork

One of the first things we wanted to address was how to bring more warmth and character into a newer condo. Many new construction condos have beautiful clean lines, but they can also feel a little plain or stark if everything is left white and bare.

Custom woodwork and wall molding helped give the space more depth and personality. Once painted, the walls felt more intentional, layered, and finished without feeling busy.

This is one of our favorite ways to make a condo feel more custom. It adds interest without taking up any extra space, which is especially important when every square foot matters.

Creating a Loungey Outdoor Space With City Views

The outdoor space was such an important part of this project because the views are incredible. We wanted the balcony to feel like a true extension of the home, not just a place to put a couple of chairs.

By creating a comfortable outdoor living space, the condo instantly gained another living area. It became a place to enjoy morning coffee, a glass of wine at sunset, city lights, or a quiet moment at the end of the day.

This is one of the best parts of downtown St. Pete condo living. When the doors are open, the home feels more spacious, relaxed, and connected to the city.

Smart Small Space Design That Packs a Big Punch

Condo design is all about being creative with the space you have. Every room needs to serve the way the client actually lives.

For the second bedroom, we designed a custom murphy bed and office combination. This allowed the room to function as a practical workspace day to day, while still feeling welcoming and comfortable for overnight guests. Instead of dedicating an entire room to a guest space that may only be used occasionally, the room becomes flexible, useful, and still beautiful.

Accent Lighting That Makes the Space Feel Finished

Lighting was another important layer in this condo. Overhead lighting alone can feel flat, so we incorporated accent lighting, including sconces around the art and bookshelves, to create more warmth and atmosphere. These details make such a difference. Accent lighting helps soften the space in the evening, adds a more custom feel, and makes the entire home feel more complete. It is often the layer people do not realize they are missing until they see how much it changes the feeling of a room.

Why Full Service Design Matters in a Condo

Moving into a condo sounds simple, but there are a lot of details behind the scenes. Elevator reservations, insurance requirements, building rules, approved trades, delivery schedules, installation timing, and all of the design decisions can quickly become overwhelming.

That is where full service design is so helpful.

At Nicole Lynn Interiors, we handle the process from start to finish so our clients do not have to manage every detail themselves. Our goal is to make the experience feel organized, smooth, and enjoyable, so they can focus on actually living in their home.

That means more time for you to enjoy the restaurants, walking along the waterfront, hosting friends, and settling into the St. Pete lifestyle.

A Few Things to Consider Before Moving Into a Condo

If you are moving into a condo or thinking about hiring a designer for one, there are a few details that are important to plan for early.

Most condo buildings require elevator reservations for deliveries, trades, move-ins, and installations. These time slots often need to be secured in advance, so planning ahead matters.

Many buildings also require proof of insurance, certificates, and vendor approval before trades can work inside the building. Having a designer with a trusted team of trades who can provide the right documentation makes the process much smoother.

Small space design also requires more creativity. It is not just about choosing pretty furniture. It is about scale, storage, layout, flexibility, and making sure every piece has a purpose.
